Kabako hails businessman Hamis Kiggundu over renovating stadium

The Number Emu singer said for the years he has spent in the music industry, one of the things which impressed him at the grand opening of the stadium was the fireworks display, which lasted almost 30 minutes.

Singer Roden Y Kabako, real name Yusuf Ssenabulya, has appreciated businessman Hamis Kigundu for refurbishing Hamz Stadium (Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds).

The stadium was re-opened on June  1, 2024.

Besides Kabako, other entertainers such as  Bebe Cool, Rema, David Lutalo, Kenzo, Sheebah, Alien Skin, Cindy, Pallaso, Weasel, Spice Diana performed for the guests.

“I remember the old Nakivubo because some of the musicians used this venue for their shows. This is a great achievement. It is not only going to be a place for sports, but also for us, artistes, to host our concerts. I thank businessman Hamis Kiggundu for the work done and for supporting artistes because it shows that the music industry in Uganda is growing," Kabako said in an interview.

Kabako further urged the public to give generously to the needy since Idd is around the corner.

"Let us increase the routine of giving and wishing others well before and after Idd."
