Joseph Ngoma, the gospel artist behind hits like "Tosala Musango" and "Webale Nyo Mukama," has promised to bring the heavens down on Saturday, July 11, 2026, when his highly anticipated concert takes place at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
"This is going to be my first mega concert. The ones before were only held in churches, so I am not leaving anything to chance," Ngoma said recently during a press conference at the Xenson Art Space in Kamwokya, Kampala.
Ngoma says holding a concert of this magnitude has been one of his dreams. "My time is now," he said excitedly. According to the often-humble singer, many people on social media have been asking him to hold a "major" concert over the years.
"All those coming for my concert should expect the best of the best. It will be a concert like no other before in Uganda," he promised.
Among those who attended the press conference was Levixon (real name Sam Lucas Lubyogo), who praised Ngoma for "paving a way for many gospel artistes."
The artistic production of the concert will be handled by Fenon Events. "As Fenon Events, we are excited and privileged to use our gifts, equipment, and expertise to glorify the name of God through this concert by providing the best lighting and sound," said Rhoda Bhakunzi, who attended the press conference on behalf of the production company.
Ngoma will be backed by a full band, led by the meticulous Myko Ouma. Ouma says rehearsals are already underway and the band is in high spirits.
Entrance to the concert is sh20,000 at the ordinary level, sh50,000 for VIP, and sh3 million for a table.
