For singer Irene Ntale, the dream of becoming a mother has become an emotionally painful journey, one made harder by the struggles of her own body and the hurtful questions of people who may never understand what she is going through.
In a deeply emotional revelation, the singer opened up about the pain of longing for a child, trying to heal and yet facing uncertainty over when, or whether, her dream of motherhood will come true.
In a heartfelt message shared online, Ntale laid bare the cruel irony of life: sometimes, the very things the heart yearns for most are the ones that seem hardest to attain.
“Life is so weird! You wake up one day, and you want to have kids, and then your body isn’t in position to do it for you just yet, and then you try your best and get it to heal,” she wrote.
Behind those words is the anguish of a woman confronting a deeply personal struggle while trying to hold on to hope. And as if the uncertainty were not painful enough, Ntale says she must also contend with people who question her childlessness, seemingly oblivious to the battles she is fighting privately.
For some, the absence of a child may be an invitation to ask questions or pass judgement. Ntale is particularly hurt by those who shame women for not having children, as though marriage automatically guarantees motherhood or makes conception a matter of choice.

“While it’s chaos and storms, people still shame you for not having children. People really assume the position of God! Wow! God hold me! Because tonight is exceptionally difficult,” she added.
Rather than hide behind the glamour of showbiz, Ntale allowed her fans a glimpse into a struggle that many women endure silently. Following her post, fellow musicians and fans rallied around her with messages of love, prayers and encouragement.
Singer A Pass offered words of comfort, expressing hope that things would eventually work out. Vivian Tendo, meanwhile, prayed that Ntale would one day look back on her painful moments with tears of joy, having witnessed her prayers turn into a beautiful testimony.
Fans also urged her not to let other people’s opinions define her worth, reminding her that not having a child does not make her any less of a woman.
Others offered prayers for her healing and the fulfilment of her dream of motherhood, hoping that the uncertainty she is experiencing will eventually give way to happier days. Irene Ntale and husband Vincent Kalibbala tied the knot in October 2025 at Rubaga Cathedral
