Singer and actress Hellen Lukoma has opened up about how she successfully balances her multiple responsibilities, saying that managing her various roles is no longer as challenging as it once was.
Despite being a wife, mother, actress, musician, and businesswoman, she has learned how to dedicate time to each aspect of her life.
Hellen Lukoma is among the female entertainers who have achieved remarkable success both professionally and personally. She is a devoted mother of three boys, a musician, a professional actress, a businesswoman, and the wife of Anwar Kaka.
Speaking in an interview, Lukoma explained that she has developed a system that allows her to give adequate attention to all her responsibilities. She noted that, as a mother, one of her biggest goals is to inspire her children through her hard work and achievements.
"Having a lot of work is no longer a big challenge in my life because I do everything with passion. When it is time for acting, I act. When it is time for music, I focus on music. And when I am with my children, I fully embrace being a mother. I learned that when my sons grow up and look back at their mother, they should be able to see what I left behind for them," she said.
"If I did not inspire them through my ideas or work ethic, I would not be happy. I want my children to see that I was an artist, an actress, and much more. That is why I invest so much energy into my work. I want my achievements to be meaningful to my children, and I will continue working until they are proud of what I have accomplished."
Lukoma also clarified that she cannot choose between her talents in music and acting, nor would she give up either career for any sacrifice.
"There are people who want to see me making music, while others prefer to see me acting. I am also sure that my husband enjoys having me as his wife. I give people variety because that is who I am. One thing I always do is dedicate all my energy to everything I undertake so that I can entertain anyone who supports my work. I want to inspire and motivate those who look up to me," Lukoma said.
She further emphasized the importance of her family, stating that her public profile and career success have never distracted her from her responsibilities as a wife and mother.
"My husband is my family, and my children are my life. I love them deeply because they make me feel complete. My fame cannot stop me from honoring and respecting my husband. I respect him greatly and adore him as my husband. I value the role he plays in my life, and I appreciate it. I make time for everything. When I am on set acting, I become an actress. When I am performing music, I become a musician. And when I am at home, I become a wife and a mother. I do not mix the different roles in my life.
My husband and I understand each other, respect each other, and trust each other deeply. To all married artists who want long and successful careers, respect your spouses, listen to them, and be open with them. They will support you. However, if you allow pride to take over, you could lose everything in a single day," Hellen said.
