Gabie Ntaate soothes souls of gospel music lovers at 'Cheza For Yesu' concert

The Sheraton Kampala Hotel gardens was filled with the melodious sounds of gospel music as Gabie Ntaate graced the stage for her concert Cheza For Yesu on Friday night, May 17, 2024.

The event, although starting on a low vibe due to a downpour, soon picked up momentum as enthusiastic revellers poured in to witness a night of uplifting music.

Media personalities King Wesley and Lady Bizo did a commendable job hosting the event, setting the stage for an engaging evening.

Dressed in striking gold and white attire, Ntaate captivated the audience with her powerful vocals.

She began with a soul-stirring acapella prayer before delving into her popular songs like Ninze, Wano, and Gwasembayo. Her second session, in which she wore a stunning pink jumpsuit, featured hits such as Awo and Brag About God.

The night culminated with Ntaate's performance of her hit song Cheza For Yesu, accompanied by a group of dancers, bringing the audience to their feet. Her live band performance added a dynamic touch to the concert.

The concert also featured guest performances by artistes such as Coopy Bly, Zabuli, and Damascas. Notable personalities such as Halima Namakula, Fabiola and Frank Gashumba graced the event.

Despite the captivating performances, some attendees noted issues with sound quality at certain points during the event. The turnout was also not good, with so many empty chairs at the VIP section being very visible. While closing off the event, she said this wasn’t a concert, but rather a prayer.

However, the Cheza For Yesu concert was a resounding success, uniting fans of gospel music in a night of praise and worship.
