Gospel singer Gabie Ntaate has announced plans to hold her first show  scheduled for  May 17 at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala.

At a press conference dubbed Cheza For Yesu after her party hit which goes by the same title at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala on April 16,  she thanked God where He got her from, saying a lot has changed in her sife since then.

Ntaate began her journey as a TV presenter in 2018, where she grew in popularity serving gossip. She was already singing even on TV then, with her first single being Wano, released in 2018. Ntaate's other songs include Gwe Asembayo, Ninze, Nage Nkwetaaga and Awo.

Shelater abandoned her gossip career in 2022 to focus on gospel, saying the development came after a divine calling.

At the press conference, Ntaate expressed gratitude to God for choosing her among the many with all her imperfections  and she added that her music has penetrated the nation due to His grace.

“God didn’t choose me because of my obedience, but it is His will that chose me,” Ntaate, real name Gabriella Bridget Ntaate, said.

She said God also connected her to popular gospel musicians such as Pr. Herbert Twina.

“God chose Pr. Twina Herbert for me as a friend because he never judges people and his conversation has driven her closer to God;”she added.  

Ntaate said the Cheza for Yesu show is aimed at urging people to return to God.   

She said her songs have inspired many to draw closer to God, expressing gratefulness that her songs are played on TV stations and other platforms.

Ntaate has won several awards, including theSauti Awards after beating six renowned continental gospel competitors to the crown. She also won the Zouk Song of the Year 2021 in the Royal Gospel Music Awards.
