It was a fun and exciting evening as Tusker Lite Friday Night Lights Grand Finale Session IX took shape at Lugogo Hockey grounds on Friday, January 5, 2024.

Bringing curtains down on what has been a short but sweet Season IX, the Friday Night Lights grand finale saw several celebrities attending compared to last year’s edition.

Nina Roz, Nutty Neithan, Mr Mosh, and Jose Chameleone were the star celebrity attractions of the night.

Mosh teamed up with the Comfort Team (captained by Leticia Comfort Awor), Nutty Neithan on Team Afande (captained by Henry Afande ), and Nina Roz on Team Ekon under Brenda Ekon.

The colourful atmosphere was full of a vibe as the celebrities failed to get a single point in the three-point shoot-out challenge.

Nina Roz didn’t score a point in the three points challenge, Mr Mosh with his height was not even close to the basketball net while Nutty Neithan, who first showcased his dribbling skills charming the crowds, was nearing to score but it didn’t happen.

The IX session grand finale involved entertainment and basketball that saw fans and players walk away with goodies and cash prizes.

The fans also took part in the exciting three-point shootouts challenges and a few walked away with the prizes as most didn’t hit the net.

Eight teams participated in the IX session grand finale, and these included Team Melo, Comfort, Drileba, Ekon, Iman, Soro, and Team Wazee comprising middle-aged ex-players.

The Friday Night Light is a sports meets showbiz offering a unique blend of basketball, music, food and beverages, and all forms of entertainment.
