Here is a list of schedules for the Easter Sunday programme at different churches in Uganda

Easter Sunday is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Several churches on Saturday shared the schedule below.

Lubaga Cathedral

According to Assistant Cathedral Administrator, Fr John Mary Walugembe, Masses will be as follows at 6:30am, 7:30am, 8:30am, 10:00am and 12:00noon.

The 10:00am Mass will be presided over by Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere.

All Saints Nakasero

According to the provost of All Saints Cathedral Kampala, Canon Dr Rebecca Margret Nyegenye, they have two services at 8:00am, 10:0am. Archbishop Kaziimba will be attending all Services.

St Paul’s Namirembe

At St Paul Cathedral Namirembe Church, Easter service will be held at 7am, 8:45am and 10am led by Bishop Moses Banja.

Our Lady of Sorrows Cathedral Parish – Kitovu-Masaka

Masses will be as follows: 6am, 7am, 9am, 11am and 5pm.

St Padre-Pio Parish Kabulamuliro

According to parish officials, on Easter day, mass will remain as usual as on Sunday at 7am, 9 am, 11am.  And 5pm.

Munyonyo Martyrs' Shrine - Uganda Martyrs Basilica

According to Parish Priest, Fr Ulman Male, Easter Mass will be as follows: Easter Vigil on Saturday at 8pm. On Easter Day 7am-Luganda, 9am, 10 am, 11am and 12:30noon.

Light the World church in Nansana

According to Pastor Wilson Bugembe, "we have organised well, and our program starts with an overnight on Good Friday." The four services are on different hours at 6am, 10am, 12noon and 2pm. Then we have an Easter show at 6pm with a 100-member choir.

Kiyinda-Mityana, Cathedral

The parish Priest, Fr Stephen Lusiba, says that they have two masses on Easter Sunday at 7am, and 10am, which will be led by Diocesan Bishop Dr Joseph Anthony Zziwa. But on Saturday, Easter Vigil Mass will be at 8pm.

Christ the King Church Kampala

According to Parish Priest, Msgr Gerald Kalumba, we shall have Masses starting from Christmas Eve. And then Christmas at Masses will be as follows: 7:00am, 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm. But the Vigil Mass on Saturday night will start at 9pm.

Uganda Martyrs Shrine Namugongo

According to Parish Priests, Fr Vincent Lubega, they have masses in five Sub-Parishes, and Parish Masses will be at 6:30am, 8am. 10:00am, 12noon and 5pm.

St Andrew Church of Uganda Bukoto

According to Church officials, they have different services at 7am, 9am and 1pm.

St Joseph's Cathedral Parish Jinja

The Easter Mass will be at 8:00am, and the Vigil Mass on Saturday will be at 7pm.

Bujumbura Cathedral Parish Hoima

According to officials, the Vigil on Saturday Mass will be at 6pm, then five Masses on Easter Sunday from 6am, 7am, 9am by Bishop Vincent Kirabo Amooti, 11am and 5pm.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Kiwamirembe Catholic Shrine Kiwamirembe

According to the Shrine Rector, Edward Kabanda, Easter Masses will be at 7am and 11am.

Virika Cathedral Fort-Portal

According to officials, the Easter celebrations will begin on Vigil on Saturday with the Mass at 8pm. Then on Easter Sunday, the Masses will follow: 6:30am, 8am, 10am and 11:30pm. And all 21 Sub-Parches get Masses as usual on Sunday.

St Andrew's Cathedral, Namukozi, Anglican Cathedral

Easter Service will start at 8:00am in English, and the main service at 10:00am will be led by Bishop Dr James Bukomeko.

St John Church of Uganda Entebbe

According to Church officials, Easter Services will be at 7am and 10am.

Kasana-Luweero Cathedral Parish

According to Diocese officials the Mass at 7:00am and 10am will be led by Diocesan Bishop, Lawrence Mukasa. 

Bugonga Catholic Parish Entebbe

According to the Parish Priest, Fr Gerald Mpanju, Masses will be at 7am, 9am, 11am and 5pm. We have eight Sub-Parishes, but two of them attend Masses at the Parish Church, and other six Sub-Parishes each will have Masses at 7am and 9am.

Lugazi Cathedral Parish

According to Cathedral Secretary, Agnes Ddumba, the Vigil Mass on Saturday will be at 8pm. Then two Masses on Easter Sunday, the first will be at 7:30am and 10:00am will be led by diocesan bishop, Christopher Kakooza.

St Charles Lwanga Parish Fort-Portal City

According to officials, six Masses as usual on Sunday, 6:30am, 7:30am, 9am, 11am and 5pm.

And also, two Sub-parishes and all of them will have masses at 8am and 10am.

Vigil Mass on Saturday will begin at 9pm.

EDIOFE CATHEDRAL-Sacred Heart of Jesus, Catholic Parish

Easter Mass will be conducted at 7am, 9am (by the diocesan bishop) and 11am.

St Cyprian Catholic Town Parish in Hoima

According to officials, the Vigil Mass on Saturday will start at 7:00am. And Easter Sunday Masses will be at 6am, 7am, 8:30am English, 10am and 5pm.

St Stephen's Church of Uganda - Kitende

Services will be at 7am, 9am and 11am.

St Mark's Church of Uganda, Namate Entebbe

Services will be at 7am, 9am and 11am.

St Mark Sekiwunga Church of Uganda

Services will be at 7am, 9am and 11am.
