Last Friday, Daniella Atim, whose separation with Jose Chameleone is no secret, took to her X account (formerly Twitter) to reveal circumstances surrounding her escape from the musician’s household.
In response, Chameleone, has asked to stop washing their dirty linen on social media. The controversial musician also mocked Daniella for assuming that he was ignorant about her plans to run away from his home.
Daniella shared that she lived through years of domestic violence and relentless stress before ultimately devising a detailed, two-year plan for a safe exit.
By sharing her story, she aims to raise awareness of the struggles domestic violence survivors face, and to highlight the courage it takes to break free.

"I wasn’t a fan of social media, but I realized the importance of sharing my experience so that other women could learn from it and fight against domestic violence. I want men to start treating women with the respect they deserve. This isn’t about revenge against Joseph; it’s about being real. I want to encourage other women to take action."
"I mentally and emotionally checked out of my abusive marriage in 2016 and began planning my exit while keeping up appearances. It’s dangerous to let them know when you’re done, so I continued to act as if everything was fine. I took a six-month trip to prepare myself for what would become my new life.
Later that same year, I gathered my precious children and left for good in 2018. I left without arousing any suspicion, taking only what I was wearing. I stayed at my brother’s house temporarily, only telling him about my plan on the morning of the trip because I didn’t want anyone to talk me out of it. I then stayed with a friend and took on all kinds of jobs, often with my baby on my back, while I waited for legal authorization to work. I worked two full-time jobs, sometimes leaving for days at a time, with my then 14-year-old son caring for his siblings.

Slowly, things improved. I enrolled all five of my children in private school and found a supportive church and school community that became our family. In 2021, I became a homeowner. That same year, I pressed charges against individuals and businesses that have since been charged with felonies in federal court. I also secured a restraining order against my ex-husband in 2023 after he threatened me.
I want completely no-contact with him. Today, I’m working toward earning a business license and taking steps in the right direction. I also allowed myself to feel love again, giving a chance to someone who could truly care for me as I’d always wanted. Dear women, I was scared too. I had no idea what I was doing, but I am so glad I took that leap of faith. My only regret is not leaving sooner", Daniella posted.
In an exclusive interview, Chameleone frowned at Daniela post.
“I am disappointed by Daniella’s public revelations. I had hoped our personal matters could have remained private for the sake of our children. I am the founder and owner of the home, there is nothing a woman could do in my house without my knowledge. All women should understand that men often know the moves and plans they make, even in our absence, and we just choose to keep the peace and let them be. From the extravagant spending, I could tell she was planning something unusual,” Chameleone, not one to lose a fight, hit back.
He, however, wished Daniella a good life ahead of her.
“She is still the mother of my children, and we will always be family. I am urging for peaceful and co-parenting. I hope Daniella finds happiness on her new path,” he said.
As for what life holds for him in the future, he says he will be fine.
“I am a well-standing, nice-looking man. I have what women look for, and I will find another woman at the right time,” he said.
“I request that she keeps her life private, social media may not need to know her personal details”, he cautioned her.
