Carol Nantongo Visits Katikiro Mayiga Ahead of Maiden Concert

KAMPALA - Ugandan songstress Carol Nantongo is gearing up for her debut concert, Carol Nantongo Live in Concert this Friday at Hotel Africana in Kampala. 

In a remarkable show of support, Nantongo on Monday (December 1) paid a courtesy visit to the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, to share her journey and express gratitude for his unwavering love for Ugandan music.

During the meeting at Bulange Mengo, Nantongo thanked the Katikiro for his consistent support for local talent, especially his fondness for her music. 

“It is an honor to know that you appreciate my work. Your encouragement inspires me to keep producing quality music that represents Uganda,” she said.

The Katikkiro reciprocated the admiration, praising Nantongo for her dedication and talent.

Known for hits like Oliwa, Ontuka, Ndabula and her soulful collaborations with other Ugandan stars, Nantongo’s performance is set to take fans on an exciting musical journey.

Speaking about the concert, Nantongo revealed her excitement and nerves, saying, “This is a dream come true. I’m grateful for all the love and support I’ve received along the way. I can’t wait to share this special moment with my fans.”
