CLIMATE CHANGE
Faith Kwikiriza is part of the evaluation team visiting schools in different regions of Uganda to assess their climate change-related projects under the Green Schools Initiative.
She has a message for the future generations:
"Climate affects all of us and a very great deal. It is not a negligible issue. It is not for the government. It is an individual noble cause. It starts with you, with me.
"It's not like the government is going to step in and conserve where you are living...but if you do it in your own home, your neighbour is doing it, at their school they are doing it, who knows? Before we realize, the whole country is green and the whole nation is saved.
"And then there is a future and a hope restored because to be honest, if the environment is not conserved, the future could be at stake."
