KAMPALA - The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has today, December, 23, 2025, warned school heads and directors about conmen claiming they can help change and improve their school grades.

UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule-Musamba in a statement, said they don’t condone this.

“It has come to the attention of the Board that there are some impostors coning headteachers and school directors of money, allegedly to either help them improve the grades of their candidates or remove their schools from the list of those suspected to have been involved in examination malpractice. Such fraudsters claim to be members of the UNEB security committee,” Kalule said.

“UNEB... appeals to the public to report such cases to the Police or inform the Board through its toll-Free Lines: 0800-111-427; 0800 211 077. Anyone providing the Board with useful information to this effect will be protected under the board’s whistle blower’s policy,” Kalule adds.

In an interview with New Vision Online, Kalule said they opted to issue the statement in the wake of receiving several complaints about the matter.

The warning comes just a few weeks to the release of the Primary Leaving Examination results and also the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and later those of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education.
