The First Lady and Minister for Education and Sports, Mrs Janet Museveni, has approved this Friday (February 13) as the day for the release of the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results.
The development follows a successful meeting at State House Nakasero hosted by Mrs Museveni, within which the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) briefed the minister on the performance of candidates.
The 2025 UCE results will be released at a function to be held at State House, Nakasero in Kampala.
When contacted, Jennifer Kalule-Musamba, the UNEB Principal Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the First Lady approved Friday this week as the day for the release of UCE results.
“It is true the board (UNEB) has briefed our minister on the performance of the 2025 UCE, and she approved Friday as the day for the release. All the details will be shared on that day,” she said.
A total of 432,159 candidates registered for the 2025 UCE examinations, marking a 12.1% increase from 2024. Exams conducted across 4,308 centres under the Competency-Based Curriculum began with candidate briefings on October 10th.
This is the second year of assessment under the new Competency-Based Curriculum.
