At the third edition of the Jameson and Friends do, on March 30, at Garden City rooftop, in Kampala,  Tyra Chantey will be one of the headlining artistes set to thrill the crowd with her urban touch of RnB music.

Having got signed to Atlanta-based record label in 2022, the Swedish-born Ugandan musician  comes to the country with quite an exciting catalogue of music, some of which has already caught the attention of Ugandan music lovers.

Best known for Water, a collaboration with rapper Navio, released in October 2023, Tyra’s fans can look forward to her other tracks like Stay in The Moment, Transits and Conman

If you cannot recognise Tyra by any of her songs, then it certainly shouldn’t be hard to recognise her by her father, Ken Kayongo, a member of the now defunct hip hop group - Swahili Nation.

At the event, Tyra will be joined on stage with young Ugandan talents like Lagum the Rapper and Maya Amolo. Professor Joewi and the Black Wave Sound band, renowned for their soulful melodies, are also set to electrify the crowd with their energy.

Away from music, Jameson & Friends, as has been the norm, has lined up an array of in-door games like ping pong and foosball, laid-back card games and more.

"There's something for everyone to enjoy as you bond over friendly competition and shared laughter, which is the core goal of this event,” said Talent Africa boss  Aly Allibhai.

The party will be closed by a line-up of DJs, including Kasbaby, Bugy, Tony, Em That Guy and Sharon Shaz, with the help of MCs Viana Indi and Adiele Kiele.
