The first term for the senior one students starts on Monday, March 2, 2026.
This will be preceded by the selections for senior one students scheduled for February 12 and 13, 2026.

The schedules were revealed earlier Friday by the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Mrs Janet Museveni, while releasing the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) Results.
The annual event took place earlier Friday, January 30, 202, at State Lodge in Nakasero, Kampala.
In his report, Dan Odongo, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Executive Director, said male students performed better than female students.

He also revealed that 2025 had more candidates compared to the previous year.
Overall, a total of 817,883 candidates from 15,388 examination centres registered for the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), compared to 797,444 candidates in 2024.
Of this total, 522,036 candidates (63.8%) from 11,525 centres were Universal Primary Education (UPE) beneficiaries, while 295,847 candidates (36.2%) from 3,863 centres were non-UPE candidates.
