Refugees, underrepresented Ugandans undertake certificate programmes

Tumusiime, whose organisation handed the group the study opportunities under the FAWE-MasterCard Phase Two Bursary Programme, says beneficiaries will be supported to pursue degree programs at partner universities upon successful completion of the one-year programme.

According to Susan Tumusiime, the Executive Director of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) a Pan-African Non-Government Organisation, the certificate is a pathway providing entry opportunities for the group who do not have the appropriate Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) qualification to pursue higher education in Uganda.
