Prof. Paul Waako said Busitema is one institution that is built on strong pillars of teamwork, research, and innovation where the staff expose their intellectual disposition.

He extended his appreciation to the search committee for conducting their exercise within the record time and pledged to work with whoever the team zeros on.

‘’I thank all the candidates for the good composition and in fact, we are spoiled for the choice because all the candidates were extremely excellent. I have taken note of all the ideas that were presented by the candidates and we shall benchmark all of them to see how to apply them to the betterment of this institution’’ Waako said.

Search committee

A five-member search committee was early this year instituted. The committee is composed of chairperson Prof. William Bazeyo, Kyambogo University deputy vice chancellor of academic affairs Prof. Maria G.N Musoke, senate member bills and boards Associate Professor Anabella Haibirika Ejiri, Prof. Julius Wandabwa and Gideon Ologe.

Bazeyo said they were preparing to present their report before the senate and council within a week.
