NAIROBI - The East African Community (EAC), in partnership with RELI Africa and leading education stakeholders, invites submissions for the 2nd EAC Regional Education Conference, scheduled to take place from 24 to 28 August 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

This landmark event will bring together policymakers, educators, researchers, private sector leaders, and civil society organisations to explore practical and scalable solutions for strengthening education systems across East Africa.

Held under the theme “Transforming Education in East Africa: From Commitments to Impact, Fostering Resilience and Future-Ready Systems for Sustainable Development,” the Conference will provide a dynamic platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and regional collaboration.

Key discussions will focus on foundational learning, teacher professional development, inclusive education, digital innovation, and evidence-based policymaking.

The organisers are calling on researchers, academics, practitioners, policy experts, and students to submit abstracts that highlight innovative research, successful interventions, and practical experiences that advance education outcomes across the region.

Submissions should align with thematic areas, including early and foundational learning, teacher capacity development, inclusive education, education technology, skills development, education financing, and data-driven decision-making.

All submissions will undergo a rigorous review process, and selected authors will be invited to present at the Conference, offering a valuable opportunity to influence regional education policy, share insights, and connect with a diverse network of stakeholders.

Beyond presentations, the Conference will showcase scalable innovations, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to advancing the East African Common Higher Education Area.
