KAMPALA - Mourners on Wednesday gathered in large numbers at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, to pay their respects to retired Major John Kazoora, an elder of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and veteran of the National Resistance Army (NRA).

Among the notable attendees were Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa, Kampala Capital City Authority Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura, former Chief Justice Bart Magunda Katureebe, former minister Miria Matembe, Inspector General of Government Beti Kamya, and politician Alice Alaso, among others.

Speaking on behalf of the combatants, Maj. Gen. Jack Sabit described the late Kazoora as “a patriot who sacrificed his life at a tender age to serve his country in the military.”
