Umeme dominated Thursday's trading session at the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) after about 1,390,483 shares worth about sh87.6m exchanged hands.
The shares exchanged hands at sh63 a piece, according to the market close report by Crested Capital.
Stanbic Holdings gained sh0.50 to close at 84.50 per share, a 0.60% rise, on turnover of 90,700 shares worth over sh7.6m. Quality Chemicals Industries Limited (QCIL) slipped sh0.12 to sh160 per share, down 0.07%, while Airtel Uganda dropped sh0.43 to close at sh169.57 per share, a 0.25% dip, on volume of 23,500 shares.
Uganda Clays Limited (UCL) traded 38,800 shares at an unchanged 7.10/=, and MTN Uganda saw a thin 2,200 shares exchange hands at a steady sh435 per share.
Several counters, among them BATU, BOBU, DFCU, NIC and NVL closed the session unchanged from their previous prices.
