Speaking during the handover ceremony, UIA Chief Executive Officer Jonan Kisakye commended the Teresa Ministries team on their impactful role of looking after abandoned children.
“UIA will continue to render its support and partnership through insurance to Teresa Ministries to ease their work. This is impactful and as UIA we associate with organizations making a difference in society like Teresa Ministries Uganda,” Kisakye stated.
The Managing Director of Teresa Ministries Maria Mazzi expressed her gratitude to UIA for the support. She also explained the process of acquiring the homeless babies noting that the organization’s objective is always to unify the children with their biological parents.
“We would like to appreciate UIA for this gesture and we believe it will cause a big difference in the lives of the innocent children that we are supporting,” Mazzi said
Teresa Ministries’ Administrator Moses Mukiibi added that the organization prioritizes finding a suitable family for the babies over keeping them in the orphanage for long.
UIA staff present included: Research Officer Angela Kemigisa, Market Development Manager – Annet Katusiime, Manager Life, Medical & Pensions - Badru Bengo, IT Officer – Aggrey Tumwine.
