The visit comes amid renewed efforts to strengthen ties, with both nations exploring joint investment projects and regional development initiatives.
Last week, Egypt’s foreign minister, Dr Badr Abdelatty, met President Museveni at State House Entebbe to discuss forming a business council.
Earlier this year, Egypt reaffirmed support for Uganda’s fishing industry through infrastructure projects at Kamuwunga landing site in Kalungu district under the Uganda–Egypt Aquatic Weed Control Project. That initiative includes the construction of a jetty, a modern market and measures to combat aquatic weeds to improve livelihoods in fishing communities.
