Market Wrap: Airtel's stock gains 3% in Tuesday's session

KAMPALA - Airtel Uganda's stock price increased by 3% to close the day’s session at sh149.48 per share.  

The telecom operator saw the highest traded volume, with 15,775 shares changing hands at an average price of 149.48.

Most other listed securities traded flat. MTN Uganda closed unchanged at sh425 per share on solid volume of 4,411 shares worth sh1.8m, while Umeme held steady at sh63.

Stanbic lost about 2% of its stock price to close the session at sh76 per share. Several counters, including BATU, DFCU, NIC, QCIL, UCL and NVL, recorded no deals.
