Currency update from Wednesday’s session

KAMPALA - Uganda shilling traded flat during Wednesday’s session as balanced supply and demand kept the local unit within the 3660/3670 levels same as the previous day.

Overnight yields remained elevated on Wednesday at an average of 11.09% according to Absa market data.

The Bank of Uganda held a treasury bill auction and yields in the 91-day, 182-day, and 364-day tenors cleared at averages of 10.752%,13.425%, and 14.502%, respectively.
