As the Bride & Groom Expo kicks off on Friday, June 26, at the UMA Multipurpose Hall, one of the most exciting and historic highlights awaits couples and visitors alike.

In a special moment at the expo, the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) will conduct its first public live civil marriage ceremony for one lucky couple on the first day of the event (Friday, June 26), at 3:00 pm.

“This is more than just a ceremony; it is a rare, real-time experience designed to inspire,” says Lorraine Tukahirwa, the Head of Marketing and Communications at Vision Group.

“It will be the perfect opportunity for couples considering civil marriage to experience and learn from the lucky couple who will be joined in marriage at Vision Group’s Bride & Groom Expo,” she adds, encouraging visitors to take advantage of the opportunity to witness a civil marriage being conducted live.

The 12:30 pm civil marriage will be broadcast live across all Vision Group television channels, including Bukedde TV One and Two, Wan Luo TV, TV West, as well as all social media platforms, allowing viewers everywhere to tune in and be part of this unforgettable moment as it unfolds.

For couples who may be uncertain about their legal marital status, NIRA will also provide essential support services for marriage registration and verification at the expo, helping many take important steps toward formalising their unions.

The Bride & Groom Expo returns in grand style from June 26–28, 2026, at the UMA Multipurpose Hall, Lugogo, in Kampala, promising not just an exhibition, but also an immersive journey into everything love, marriage, and what building a life together truly means.

According to Jacqueline Taweeka Kabanda, Events Sales and Business Development Manager at Vision Group, this year’s edition comes with a refreshed and forward-looking theme: “Beyond I Do: A Journey of Love, Home and Family.” A theme that moves the conversation beyond wedding-day perfection into the deeper reality and beauty of life after “I do.”

The three-day Bride & Groom Expo, organised by Vision Group, is proudly sponsored by Bella Wine, Roke Telcom, Pepsi Uganda, and Looks Bespoke, in partnership with Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Oppein Uganda, and NIRA.

Entry is set at sh10,000 per person.
