With his wedding just weeks away, Ivan Kibule left the Bride & Groom Expo 2026 with more than just inspiration for his big day when he walked away twice lucky.
Kibule emerged as a double winner during the second day of the expo, held on Saturday at the UMA Multipurpose Hall in Lugogo, Kampala.
His name was drawn for two prizes, including a tailor-made suit from The Looks Bespoke and a Queen Ma self-care hamper, making him one of the day’s biggest winners.
“I bought three raffle tickets at sh15,000 and won a suit and a hamper. It feels good to win and take off some of the costs of the wedding budget,” Kibule said with a smile.
He attended the expo with his fiancée, whom he is set to marry in August and a close male friend who is also preparing for his wedding in December. Kibule's double win was among several exciting moments as exhibitors rewarded lucky visitors with prizes aimed at making their wedding journeys a little easier.
Other winners included Allan Makune, who received a cake from Sheraton Kampala Hotel; Milly Bagala, who also won a Queen Ma hamper; Juliana Nalumansi, who walked away with customised Bella wine bottles; Oketch Winnie, who won a hamper from Daanya Skin Experts; and the Nitin Bhangwani couple, who received a spa and nail treatments from Nkwanzi Cultural Couture.
Justine Naluwame won a two-day, three-night honeymoon stay at La Fang Eco Resort, while Imelda Tusingwire joined Kibule in winning a tailor-made suit from The Looks Bespoke. Madrine Kyasiima, whose wedding is set for August 30, 2026, celebrated winning a wedding gown from City Bridals.
