How top politicians trusted by Besigye abandoned him

During Besigye’s time in FDC, Annet Anita Among impressed him with her fundraising abilities, at one time ranking second only to Besigye in funds mobilised. Besigye was later shocked when he learnt about the sources and intended purposes of Among’s funds. Around the same period, Museveni reportedly summoned Rose Akol, the former Woman MP for Bukedea, and persuaded her not to run against Among, noting that Among was performing a specialised assignment for him within FDC. 

Just as in the spiritual realm, where God and satan are continually “fishing” souls from each other’s camp, competing politicians in Uganda also “fish” supporters from one another.
