Like in many of the ecclesial parishes countrywide, the parishioners of the Cosmopolitan Christ the King Church, Kampala Friday (Good Friday) organised a parish-level celebration of the Public Way of the Cross.

The lunch-hour event attracted a massive congregation of pilgrims, who included children.

The prayers were led by the church's curate, the Rev. Fr. Remegius Sserugga, who asked the Christians to be firm in their faith, even in the face of the many contemporary challenges.

"Christian life cannot be problem-free. Even our Lord Jesus Christ suffered. He was made to carry His cross. He was crucified and died. But he did not remain in the grave. He resurrected on the third day. So, let's us have hope in Jesus our Lord. Let's take to him all our burdens. Let's have that hope that the power of his Resurrection brings," Sserugga said.
