The Office of the President has revealed plans to completely interdict the suspended Rubaga Division deputy Resident City Commissioner Herbert Anderson Burora.

Burora was suspended last week over his remarks about alleged corruption and abuse of office targeting both Parliament Speaker Among and the House.

The revelation on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, was made by the Office of the President permanent secretary Yunus Kakande while appearing before Parliament’s Presidential Affairs Committee.

Kakande was presenting the entity’s 2024/25 national budget estimates, during which Denis Oneka (Kitgum Municipality) asked him to explain the action undertaken against Burora for the remarks he made against Parliament.

In response, Kakande said Burora’s conduct is an isolated incidence, which is not reflective of all the RDCs in Uganda.

He added that Burora had earlier been warned about the utterances but he remained defiant.
