Singer Sheebah Karungi has agreed with the criticism that grew as her career did in regards to her vocal talent.

Some people have branded her an exceptional dancer who just stumbled upon singing with vocals that the ears of the public shouldn’t have been subjected to.

One of her most vocal critics is singer Cindy Sanyu, who provoked her into a music battle in 2023 on the same grounds.

Sheebah has now conceded that it is the uniqueness with which she packages her art and her hardwork that have kept her afloat.

“Art is how unique you are. That is why till today they say she can’t sing, but everytime I release a song, it goes number one because there is some uniqueness in what I am doing. And apart from that, I invest time, effort and work hard. Trust me, I will beat that talent,” said Sheebah on a local radio.

1n 2021, media personality Miles Rwamiti said Sheebah was a dancer who just got lucky, thanks to her former manager, Jeff Kiwanuka, who mastered the ropes of marketing artistes.

In 2016, Sheebah's former friend, rapper Keko, told The Kampala Sun her (Sheebah's) rise to stardom was not organic, but a product of intense promotion. “She is a promotional kind of artiste. She met a marketing pay-per-play kind of manager.”
