Passengers departing Entebbe International Airport on Sunday have been advised to "plan for more time so as not to miss flights".

This, according to the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), is because of a scheduled dry run simulating facilitation of guests arriving for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit and G77 + China summits.

Uganda will host the two summits in January next year.

The dry run will happen on Sunday (December 17).

"Entebbe road is likely to be busier than usual," said UCAA on X (formely Twitter) on Saturday.

Also, in preparation for the summits, a total of 54 new immigration officers have been posted at the airport.

Uganda is only a month away from hosting the 19th NAM Summit as well as the Group of 77 (G-77) plus China Third South Summit from January 15 until January 23 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

Earlier this week, the advance teams were briefed by airport officials led by Eng. Ayub Sooma, the director of airports and aviation security, who assured them of seamless facilitation of delegates that will be arriving through Entebbe International Airport.

The NAM meeting is themed around deepening co-operation for shared global affluence while the theme for the Third South Summit is 'Leaving no one behind'.
