PDM excites Gombe residents

Residents of Gombe town council in Wakiso district are excited about the Parish Development (PDM) programme.

“Thank you very much President Museveni for the PDM money because it’s going to help many of us to improve our businesses and fight poverty in our homes,” Juliet Nalumansi, one of the beneficiaries, said.

Nalumansi from Jagala ward in Gombe got excited after getting shillings one million on her mobile phone and she danced her wast off in front of the Resident District Commissioner [RDC] of Nansana municipality Ali Nsubuga.

She said the money is going to help her expand her poultry farm and use the proceeds to educate her children.

Christine Sseremba, also from Jagala ward, said she has been keeping local breed pigs, but the money is going to help her upgrade her farm to the hybrid ones. 

Robbinah Namyalo said she has been struggling to maintain her piggery but now she going to expand it.

While addressing the residents of Gombe town council recently, Nsubuga PDM was brought by President Museveni specifically to fight poverty in people’s homes.

According to Nsubuga, 1,214 households benefitted from the shillings 1.91b PDM money, which was sent by the Government to the Gombe town council.
