The Uganda National Chamber of Commerce Arua City branch has awarded certificates of registration and identity cards to paid-up members in Arua City.

The certificates of registration were awarded to over 50 fully paid-up members of the chamber in Arua City on Friday, September 15.

Caesar Draecabo Trinity, the interim chairperson of the Arua chapter, said joining the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce has several advantages for business entities including mediation between business people as well as regulatory bodies among others.

Jobel Ayiko, the Arua City commercial officer, described the step taken to formally register members as important, adding that the branches in Nebbi and Koboko districts are more vibrant than the one in Arua City and yet being the regional city, Arua is supposed to be exemplary.

Some business owners and representatives who received their certificates encouraged their colleagues to follow suit.

The Arua City branch started full operation in 2022.
