Police have released a photograph of a car apparently laden with explosives that was intercepted on Kampala Road in the wee hours of Sunday.

The image taken by the scene of crime officer that was later attached to a mini-press statement appears to show a white numberless car – Toyota Premio – whose boat also appeared to be carefully sealed.

The car was intercepted by the Police’s Alert squad affiliated to the 999 Police patrol unit attached to the Directorate of Operations in Police.
