Gulu District Chief Administrative Officer has been directed to transfer all the Parish Development Module (PDM) SACCO accounts to Centenary Bank effective immediately.

Gulu Resident District Commissioner, Charles Ichogor issued the directive yesterday saying all the 47 PDM SACCOs in the district had their accounts spread across Post Bank, DFU Bank, and Centenary Bank and that each account was replenished with sh107m late last year under the PDM.

According to Ichogor, the Centenary and DFCU Banks gave interests of Shs815,000 and shs300,000 to shs400,000 respectively while Post Bank gave nothing, something that informed his decision to have all the other accounts transferred from Post Bank and DFCU Bank to Centenary Bank.

This according to him, shall enable the SACCOs to get more interests to be used as operation funds for the Parish Development Committees.

Meanwhile, Ismael Ochengel, The Gulu District Chief Administrative Officer obeyed the directive saying he shall have a meeting with the management of DFCU and Post Bank over the matter.
