National Breaking for Gold Championships
Ronald Ndawula has vowed to bring his A-game during the National Breaking for Gold Championships come September.
Ndawula made the remarks during the regional qualifiers that took place at Kajjansi Clays playground in Wakiso over the weekend.
The qualifiers were composed of competitors from Kampala, Wakiso and Luweero, from which the top three performers in each region automatically qualified for the nationals next month.
Ndawula beat Faruk Ssewanyana convincingly with a maximum three points after three tough rounds for the judges to crown him champion of Kampala.

“Despite the tough and stiff competition, I am going to work hard and make it a point to be the best at the nationals and retain my captaincy of the national team,” said Ndawula.

He has improved in the top rock, down rock, flare, power moves and freezes which has enabled him to excel to go along with his exposure on the world stage.
The national champions (two male and two female) will get a chance to participate in the World Breaking for Gold Championships scheduled for October in South Korea’s capital Seoul.
“We have started incorporating the female athletes into the sport hence fulfilling the Olympic objective of inclusiveness,” remarked Barnabas Ssebuyungo the general secretary of Uganda Dance Sport Federation.
