Janzi band, an Afro-fusion, contemporary, and world music band will this weekend give back to children at the Home of hope Uganda at Jinja.

This will be in commemoration of World Autism Day which is observed every year on April 2.

Under the band's Janzi 4 Hope affiliate, this charity event is part of the many off stage activities lined up on the 2009 formed group's event calendar for this year.

"Music is our power and we are using it to make their lives better ," said Sewa Sewa, the bandleader.

"Our major goal is to put a spotlight on the hurdles that people with autism and others living with the disease face every day. We are also calling out those that feel touched and are willing to contribute to the same cause, contact us via our social media platforms," added Sewa.

Before the charity proceedings on Sunday, the group alongside other performers will entertain revelers at the Nile Village in Jinja on Saturday night.
