The Office of the Prime Minister has released a plan to supply food relief to the Ebola-affected districts that are currently under lockdown.

According to the state minister of ICT, Godfrey Kabbyanga, starting next week, the Office of the Prime Minister will deliver emergency relief food items to vulnerable groups.

He explains that vulnerable groups to benefit from the relief food include market vendors, bodaboda cyclists, and taxi operators, among others identified by the district disaster committees in both Mubende and Kasanda.

“As we continue to monitor the situation, the government will maintain the control measures in Mubende and Kasanda districts," he said, adding that the government had noted and reviewed the concerns raised by political leaders in the two districts.
