SSEMBABULE - Police have closed in on two men suspected to have hacked a teacher, Virginia Kyomukama, a resident of Mateete west 'A' zone, in Sembabule district.

The 42-year-old teacher (Kyomukama) was attacked by two men who perched on a motorcycle last Tuesday.

According to Police, the two suspects whose identities have been withheld in fear of jeopardising investigations rode a motorcycle which they parked at the victim’s home in Mateete.

“One of them entered inside the victim’s house while armed with a panga and cut the Kyomukama twice on the head thereafter they took off,” reads excerpts of the police report.

The victim is still nursing injuries at a hospital in Masaka, according to Police.

It emerged Monday morning that police detectives had zeroed down on the suspected attackers and sealed off a facility in Masaka where the suspects were hiding, according to detectives privy to the probe.

The motive of the attack on Kyomukama remains a subject of police investigations.
