Detectives from the Police Forensic Unit were Sunday morning combing the scene at Buwama Police Station where a vehicle belonging to the Principal Judge Justice Dr Flavian Zeija was parked after unknown assailants on Saturday night sprayed it with bullets. 

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga on Sunday confirmed the incident and said Justice Zeija’s car was shot at, along Masaka Road as he was returning from official duties. 

“Yes. The tactical teams responded to the attack and there is no report yet but they are now documenting that scene. We will provide details once we have all the relevant information,” Enanga said. 

Judiciary Spokesperson Jameson Karemani confirmed the incident but said they would issue a detailed statement later in the day.  

“It’s true. We are going to issue a statement later in the day,” Karemani said.
