Buganda Road Court has issued a warrant for arrest against four people who stood surety to novelist Kakweza Rukirabashaija, who has since fled the country without permission from the court.

Chief magistrate Douglas Singiza has, however, ordered that if the four appear in court with sh10m they each promised to pay when Kakweza fails to show up in court, and it's forfeited to the state, the warrant of arrest on their heads will be cancelled.

The sureties now on the police wanted list are National Unity Platform party Secretary General Lewis Rubongoya, lawyer Julius Galisonga, businesswoman Annet Ashaba and a one Kaija.
