Wananchi captain Innocent Raskara believes that they need to beat MUBS to improve their chances of winning the league title.

“We want to brighten our chances of winning the league this season and we ought to come out strong this weekend as we take on the stubborn MUBS who are a threat,” remarked Raskara.

The two sides face off this weekend at Lugogo.

Wananchi heads into the fixture on a high after beating their number one rivals Weatherhead twice in the memorial shield and the league opener last weekend.

Wananchi coach Christopher Otim believes his side is ready for the encounter.

“Having lost two of my best players, I sat my team down and advised them to go out and play their game. Surprisingly, the players are playing a good game," Otim said.

However, the MUBS team comes into the fixture fresher than Wananchi.

“Our team is fresh as compared to our opponents (Wananchi) who are overworked and fatigued. We ought to use the chance to stop their good performance," noted Bayiule.

Elsewhere, it's not known whether Rhino Hockey Club will take part in this season’s league having lost most players. They can't even field seven players.
