The Chief Administrative Officer of Buikwe district, George Ntulume has appealed to all leaders at different levels to be part of preparing parents and children for the reopening of schools next year.
Ntulume said Covid-19 had disreputed the education sector for the last two last years and that parents, teachers, and children need counseling to handle change.
Ntulume said this at a three-day training of Buikwe councilors and technical staff in effective service delivery for sustainable development in Mukono. The training was organised by the government of Iceland.

He added that they have partnered with Iceland through the Icelandic International Development Agency (ICEIDA) to provide lunch to all children in government schools in Buikwe so that they can stay in school.
ICEIDA Co-ordinator in Buikwe, Maurice Sebisubi said the agency is providing safe water to the community, building staff houses, classrooms, and toilets.
