The United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s leading agriculture company is set to invest in Uganda's tea subsector.

Its leaders are in Uganda to meet government officials and visit tea farms in Southern, Western and Northern regions to decide on the best fit for the tea plant.

On November 25, they interfaced with agriculture state minister Fred Bwino and his trade counterpart David Bahati, among other government officials.

This is a follow-up from the Dubai Expo 2020 engagements led by President Yoweri Museveni in October.

Elite Agro is a Dubai-based multi-billion dollar company. It is one of the leading producers and distributors of daily fresh vegetables and fruits in the region
