The National Unity Platform (NUP) has refuted police claims that it is planning a nationwide demonstration.

Joel Ssenyonyi, the party spokesperson says they have no plans of that sort and wondered where the police was getting the information from.

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said last week that they had intelligence information that NUP was planning to hold nationwide demonstrations and warned them to refrain from such acts saying they were unlawful.

Addressing the media Monday, Ssenyonyi distanced the party from such plans and accused police of concocting intelligence for their selfish gains.
