UMEME has appealed to its customers currently experiencing power outages to bear with them as they fix faulty power lines. 

Selected parts of Kampala city and Wakiso district will for the next few hours go without power due to faulty lines. 

The affected areas include; Lweza, Zana, Namasuba, Wamala road, Najjanankumbi, Kitende, Bwebajja, Akright Kakungulu, Sekiwunga and Kajjansi. 

Others are; Bweya, Kawoto, Nakigalala, Katale, Seguku, Naziba, Kisubi, Lutembe, Bukwenda and Lubowa. 

The other areas experiencing power outages include; Bukoto, Mulimira, Mawanda Road, Kifumbira, Kisementi, Kamwokya, Kanjokya street, Kira road, Kololo Hospital, Nsooba and Kyebando. 

Ntinda, Kisaasi, Kisota, Kulambiro, Kyanja, Bahai and surrounding areas. 

“Power is off due to faulty lines. The team is handling to ensure restoration. Kindly bear with us. Apologies for inconveniences caused,” UMEME said on their official Twitter handle on Monday.
