In the Men’s Singles, Adham Hatem Elgamal battled to another Egyptian win when he edged Mohamed Abderrahime Berlabi 2-1 (21-17, 17-21, 21-19) with the latter losing his concentration after a contested line call went the Egyptian’s way when he was only two points away from grabbing the win.

The crowning ceremony followed thereafter with Algeria finishing second while Uganda and South Africa who bowed out at the semifinals, settling for bronze medals.

The tournament continues with an AirBadminton showcase on Monday before the singles’ games for the next three days up to Thursday.
