The ministry of health has confirmed 56 new COVID-19 cases in Uganda.

The cases were registered following the results of COVID-19 tests done on October 11, 2021.

 The breakdown of the new cases are 54 alerts and contacts:

Arua recorded 8 cases, Luweero ,4, Amuria 4, Moyo 4, Mbarara 3, Kwania 3, Kampala 3, Apac 2, Napak 2, Bushenyi 2 and Adjumani 2.

Others are Kabale 2, Rubanda 2, Kalaki 2, Koboko 2, Rukungiri 1, Kyegegwa 1, Wakiso 3 and Amuru 4. 2 Truck drivers from Amuru and Kisoro.

Out of the 124,864 cases recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic in March last year, 3,177 patients have died, while 96,289 people have recovered.
