UK Convention appoints Musiime as its Ugandan Brand Ambassador

KAMPALA - The UK-Uganda Convention has appointed Edwin Musiime, a real estate entrepreneur, as its first Ugandan brand Ambassador as the 2021 Convention draws closer.

The convention founded 11 years ago by William Mutenza of Ugandan origin, but a British citizen in the UK brings together experts, high profile businessmen and government delegates from Uganda and the UK, Ugandans in the Diaspora, professionals and representatives from prominent organizations based in both countries and beyond.

In an interview with New Vision,  Musiime who is also the CEO Crest Group and founder of Chamber for Young Entrepreneurs said that his role begins immediately. 

"I will actively be engaging Ugandans here and those in the diaspora in building cohesive communities," he said, adding that the 2021 convention is set to be hosted on Saturday, September 11, 2021, but will be virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected the World. 

Musiime stressed that the purpose of the one-day convention held in September every year is aimed at promoting and facilitating international trade between Uganda and UK, promoting Ugandan exports, identifying export opportunities and seeking investment opportunities within Uganda.
