Wakiso communities lament over COVID-19 relief fund

Communities from different parishes have complained over the government COVID-19 relief fund

They lament that they have waited for the message but in vain.

Some of the community members who are Persons living with Disabilities that the New Vision spoke to said they have not heard from Prime Minister Robinah Nabanja, they however say that they are waiting.

Livingstone Kaddu the chairperson PWDs Kakiri town council said, my group members, have not received any government fund later alone the sh100,000 COVID -19 relief fund.

A former storekeeper at one of the primary schools in Wakiso town council, Peter Mulungu said that as a jobless disabled youth, he is one of the people who could have benefitted from the COVID relief fund but has not received Nabanja’s call.

About 500,000 Ugandans are expected to benefit from the COVID-19 relief fund.
